Angustiden Shark Tooth | Megalodon Ancestor

This is a sizable tooth from the angustiden shark, which is in the same genus as the megalodon. There is some slight feeding damage on the tip of this tooth. These sharks are a direct ancestor of the megalodon, which existed slightly earlier. This comes from the late Oligocene period, making it approximately 23 million years old.
