Fossil Manatee Teeth and Ear Bones | Ice Age of Florida

This lot includes three fully fossilized molars and two uncommon inner ear bones that are from the manatee Trichechus. In the Pleistocene of Florida, these were much more common animals than they are today, inhabiting freshwater rivers and coastal regions, subsisting on seagrasses and other freshwater and saltwater vegetation. These are personal finds from Florida.
