Giant Armadillo (Holmesina) Osteoderms | Bony Plate – Shell Section

These are two small bony plates from the shell of a massive extinct giant armadillo (Holmesina) that grew as large as a Volkswagen Beetle. These were an iconic and very interesting part of Florida’s prehistoric fauna.
