Whitetail Deer Fossil Collection | Bones, Antler & Teeth | Pleistocene of Florida

This is a collection of fossils from the whitetail deer, an animal that lived here in Florida in the Pleistocene, over 10,000 years ago but managed to survive the ice age extinction that killed off so many other larger mammals. They are survivors who have been hunted by man for food in this state continuously for over 12,000 years. These are personal finds from Florida.
